Below is documentation of Anti-Anthropometrics installation. Though many participants eventually figured out or attempted to recreate the Anti-Anthropometrics intended or "proper" sitting position, it highlights that they are unable to as the form is sculpted for the artist's body. Reminding the participant and audience of individuals' bodies and physical relationships with design objects are unique.
Anti-Anthropometrics
An exploration of the intersection between furniture, sculpture and installation Anti-Anthropometrics is a physical representation of an individual's interaction and interpretation of an iconic designed object. Whilst the form represents a rebellion against the intentions of the designer of “sitting properly” it ironically does the same to its audience.
